First aid courseHi girls.
Ulster Lambretta Club is hosting a first aid course for scooterists early next year.
It will be a full day 10am to roughly 4pm on Saturday 21st February in the Enterprise Bar Ballynahinch.
The ones running it are the MCI medical team, these boys are the real deal, they're ones who follow the road racers round the track, they are a mix of experienced ambulance paramedics and doctors.
This course is specifically aimed at ordinary bikers and scooterists and covers the usual stuff but also things you wouldn't normally get at a works first aid course for example:
Helmet removal, when and how to do it.
Roadside safety, sizing up an incident etc.
Mad sense of humour, they may be bikers but they're wired up the same as us.
This is both theory and hands on practical skills that could really save a mate's life. They're passionate about 2 wheels and they give their spare time for free to do these courses, only asking for a donation to keep their car and bikes equipped with medical kit.
It's a maximum of 30 people and it'll be £15 each, tickets in advance available soon. Morning coffee and light lunch included. All profits to go to the MCI fund.
Open to all scooterists first come first served.
We'll be going out for a few pints afterwards too for a drink fueled "question and answer session" so it'll be a fun day as well as informative.
Please let me know asap as we've over half the spaces spoken for already.
